SPRAY FOAM INSULATION
HOWS IT WORK?
Spray Foam Insulation is quickly becoming the preferred solution for new construction and retrofit projects alike. Designed to effectively fill cracks and crevices, SPF is applied quickly and cures within seconds. It is mold resistant, permanent and provides a “custom fit” insulation solution unique to each structure because it is easily applied to awkward spaces, such as around pipes, crawl spaces, roof peaks, attics and walls.
Even older homes and buildings can benefit from spray foam insulation. With slow-rise SPF installed in external walls and the correct spray foam in the attic, drafty old houses can become more energy efficient by today’s standards. Plus, existing HVAC units and duct work will function in a less demanding “conditioned” environment, potentially extending the life of this expensive equipment. There are two general types of spray foam insulation – open-cell and closed-cell.OPEN CELL:
- Less expensive per inch
- Creates sound barrier
- R-value of 3.5 to 3.7 per/inch
- Reduces noise transmission
- Interior walls and rafters
CLOSED CELL:
- Creates an air tight barrier
- R-value of 6 to 6.5 per/inch
- Metal buildings, attics and exterior walls.
- Adds strength and rigidity for improved structural integrity.
- Reduces noise transmission
- Moisture and vapor barrier

OUR MISSION
My brothers and I have been building custom homes in Kentucky for the last 15 years. We have also done many commercial framing jobs. We have worked hard to bring the best quality possible to our customers, and are blessed with a reputation that is second to none. My Wife and I recently built our home, and used spray foam as the insulation. We could not be more happy with the savings, and efficiency we are now reaping from that wise choice. From that time on, I began to see the need for a local contractor, to offer spray foam. In April 2018, Bluegrass Spray Foam and Coatings Inc. was born! Just as before, I am committed to providing quality work in Kentucky, and the surrounding areas for each and every one of my customers!
